'Side Show' is a musical based on the true lives of Daisy and Violet Hilton, Siamese twins who make a change from being a circus act to becoming famous stage performers in the 1930's.
Side Show shares the powerful message of love and acceptance and questions those social barriers and norms that shape and influence our thinking. Have you ever felt alone or judged for being different? Have you ever felt suppressed or constrained to act a certain way in order to “fit in?” What is “normal” and who decides and defines this? Throughout the show, the Hilton twins as well as many of the other characters have to decide whether they will change who they are in order to be “accepted” or embrace their individuality and uniqueness.
